Dr Neil Soderlund
Neil Soderlund is the founder and managing director of Random Forest. Prior to this he was the founding CEO of Quantium Health, a health and human services analytics joint venture between Quantium and Discovery Health. He was previously the CEO of Health Outcomes Australia (acquired by Quantium Health in 2016) and a partner with the Boston Consulting Group (2000-2014), leading BCG’s Sydney office from 2011 to 2014, and its Big Data and Advanced Analytics practice in Asia-Pacific. He has led over 80 projects in data, analytics and informatics in health and government sectors over the last 25 years. Neil initially qualified and worked as a medical doctor before studying health econometrics (MSc and DPhil) at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. During his time at BCG Neil helped to set up the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) which has become the main international standard setting body in the field.
In addition to his advisory work, Dr Soderlund serves as an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University, and sits on the boards of the Garvan Institute for Medical Research and Quantium Health.
